Pacific Partnership 2024-2 Kicks Off in Legazpi, Philippines

LEGAZPI, Philippines (Aug. 2, 2024.) - Australian Army Lt. Chloe Apps, left, Australian Army Capt. Louise Macinnes, middle, and U.S. Navy Lt. Summer Combs, dance with Filipino locals during the opening ceremony at the Legazpi Expo Center in Legazpi, Philippines, Aug. 2, 2024. During this mission stop, U.S. servicemembers will work with the ally and partner nations of Australia, U.K. Singapore, the Republic of Korea and the Philippines, to Forster multilateral cooperation focusing on four lines of effort; humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, host nation outreach events, engineering and medical. Now in its 20th iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific. USNS City of Bismarck Arrives at the Port of Legazpi for Pacific Partnership 2024-2

LEGAZPI, Philippines (July 30, 2024) – The expeditionary fast transport ship USNS City of Bismarck (T-EPF 9) sails into the Port of Legazpi in preparation for the start of Pacific Partnership 24-2 in the Philippines July 30, 2024. Now in its 20th iteration, Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific. U.S. Navy Visit to Vanuatu Marks Launch of Pacific Partnership 24-2

PORT Vila, Vanuatu (July 19, 2024) – U.S. Navy Capt. Mark Asuncion, the Senior U.S. Official in Vanuatu, speaks at the opening ceremony of the U.S. Embassy in Port Vila, Vanuatu, July 19, 2024. The United States established diplomatic relations with the Government of Vanuatu in 1986. Ambassador Ann Marie Yastishock, is accredited to Vanuatu as the nonresident Ambassador and leads the diplomatic mission based in Port Vila. This opening further marks the growth of our relationship with Vanuatu and underlines the strength of our commitment to our bilateral relations, to the Ni-Vanuatu people, and to our partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region.
