Capt. Richie Jenkins

Deputy Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOG WESTPAC) Commander, Task Force 73 (CTF 73)

Captain Richie Jenkins is a native of Sweetwater, Tennessee and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He was commissioned via Officer Candidate School and holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and National Security and Strategic Studies from Piedmont College and the U.S. Naval War College respectively. He has completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Advanced Program for Logistics and Technology at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Captain Jenkins has served in a variety of key leadership positions afloat and ashore. Afloat he has served as Supply Officer on USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7) where he led the Supply Department to consecutive Blue “E” Awards for Supply Excellence. Captain Jenkins served as Aviation Support Division Officer, Principal Assistant for Services, and Principal Assistant for Logistics on USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) and as Supply Officer of USS NORFOLK (SSN 714).
Captain Jenkins’ ashore assignments include the Navy Supply Corps School, Submarine Squadron ELEVEN/Commander Submarine Force Pacific Rep West Coast, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Special Operations Command Pacific and NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. His most recent assignment was to the Joint Staff as the Concepts and Capabilities Division Chief in the Logistics Directorate.
His decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal. Captain Jenkins is qualified as a Naval Aviation Supply Officer, Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer and Supply Corps Officer Qualified in Submarines. He is a Joint Qualified Officer and a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.
He and his wife Catherine currently reside in Singapore.
